Jillian Bevan was born and raised in the UK and moved to Canada on a whim in 2014. Having always been a painter, and a person who loves to cook, she began working with ceramics in 2019 - hoping to create the type of dishes she couldn’t find to buy in stores.

Using her handmade ceramics as a canvas for her unique designs, Jillian has created a body of work that borrows from traditional delftware, chinoiserie, her travels and the things in her everyday life that inspire her (mostly her garden and her dog).

Much of her work focuses on functional ware, because she believes every meal should be treated as an occasion - and a beautifully set table is the best way to honour this.
